Can particles make a noise? Air is made up of particles and wind is air and sometimes you can hear the wind, can anyone explain?

I would say maybe becasue the wind sometimes we can hear it right so that means that the air particles can make noise but when the wind is not blowing very hard so we cant hear it than no

Well maybe it's just the set up of the wind. Like the particles aren't making the noise, just the pushing of the wind can make a noise that makes you think that the wind is making the noise, but it's really not. Or!!! particles can make noise if they are in a group and if something forces it. Like us, we can make noises and we are made out of particles. And when you hit particles to gether, like a group of them, Excample: basketball short up and hits the rim, that makes a noise

I agree with Trevor. In a way particles do make noise because we are particles.

I agree with the top. We make noise because we move around. We make noises with our cell phones and iPods. And our heart makes noise too. Thump...

I think that particles probably make noise because when the wind blows you can hear it sometimes and there are other objects you can hear to. There are air waves made up of particles that make radio stations and TV stations work.

It depends are you refering to little tiny molecules of particles than I have no idea, but if you talking about big gusts of wind and stuff like that than ya they make noise otherwise it would be like we're all deff. In other words I agree with Emily.
