Pluto used to be a planet in our solar system. Scientists declared that Pluto is really not a planet because it is too small. If they say first that Pluto is a planet because it's big enough than how can they say it's too small? They kinda can't do that if they already declared it. But if that wasn't the reason to declare it not a planet than what reason do you have? Explain.

maybe it`s because it is the smallest planet in our solar system It might be the smallest planet or used to be but they declared that it wasn't a planet. You can't just pick the planets you like and they planets you don't like.

Yeah, and when they first discovered it they thought it was a star, 'cause it's so small. It took a while for them to actually be convinced that it was a planet!

Ok one fact that you have to take into considertation is that there is more to denying pluto as a planet than just over size. The number of Moons? Its orbit course. And its size. this could get more deeper but those are just small examples of why pluto couldnt be a planet.

I heard pluto is getting smaller and smaller so the scientist said it was a "dwarf planet" because of it's size.
Although I don't think we will ever get a for sure answer because its science so the scientists make it easier to comprehend, and the information is probably classified.

Pluto is a planet. Its a dwarf planet... smaller than the average planet. It is supposedly getting smaller and smaller. If it got small enought could it just disappear?

yeah wouldnt it just dissappear if it got to that point of being that small. So why didnt they just wait until it disappeared so they could say that its not a planet ??
