1) Are we more likely to see a total solar eclipse during the summer or the winter? Explain your answer.
2) Which would make better viewing, a solar eclipse in the winter or the summer? Explain your answer.
***I have some ideas for both of these questions, but I am not sure how I would answer them - they are tough. Let's hear some ideas and discussion!

1. I would think it would be in the summer, because the moon is right nexts to the sun.
2. I think it would be better viewing it in the summer, because in the winter it gets dark sooner.

I agree with Ernesto I also have seen many videos on youtube and they are all mostly in the summer. But Im still wondering how is that it mostly just happens in the summer but not in the winter time???

1. Most likely in the summer because we see he sun more and in the winter it is seen less because of all the clouds. It depends tho because we have seasons oppposite of places like africa. And the places like Alaska or Antartica where there is pretty much always snow.

1) Are we more likely to see a total solar eclipse during the summer or the winter? Explain your answer. 2) Which would make better viewing, a solar eclipse in the winter or the summer? Explain your answer. 2.) I think watching a solar eclipse during the summer would be better because then we would have a better view and we would be able to see it more clearly. Also because we would be able to go outside and not be too cold.

1) well i think you would be able to see it more in the summer because you are able to see the sun more often which gives you a longer time span to deal with. 2) the second one is almost the exact opposite answer of the first. Because I am not sure about you but I would rather see something that happens once ever 200 years to that apossed of somethig that happens evevry 50 years?? Well I am not for sure on my first answer but the 2nd 1 makes alot of sense to me

i think thats its in the summer because the earth and the sun are more aligned to begin with in the summer than in the winter because with are tilt of 23 degrees we are closer to the equator in the summer and not tilted closer to the north pole as we are in the summer.so i think for the first question its summer. for the secound question i would say winter because u wouldnt have to look up as high so it would be easier to look at , also it would be rarer so u could say that u say somthing that happeans every couple hundred years.

1. I think it would be in both but you would notice it in the summer than you would notice it in the winter.

2. i would have to say that during the summer it would be easier to see a solar eclipse because we get more sunlight during that season
