Ok, so everybody that is reading this should have or be studying seasons. Why do you think we have them and why do you think places like Alaska have 30 days of night in the winter and 30 days of light in the summer? Also why is it that by the equator its the same seasons all year long, summer?

the seasons are cause by the way the earth is tilted on its axis. I learned that the earth's tilt does not change. In the summer, the north is tilted toward the sun and in the winter the earth is on the opposite side of the sun, so the sun is facing the south more.

Because the earth turns on its axis almost all the while it is orbiting the sun and sometimes only a portion of the earth gets that heat during certain times of the year. For example: The equator is right in the middle of the earth and hence forth it has the most "sun access" so that is why it is so warm and hot all through out the year. The sun doesnt exactly stay in the same place all year with the part we are in (midwest) so we get winter and fall.
