Do you think that the moon will pull away from Earth's pull? and why?[/quote]
i think that if the moon were to pull away farther and farther and if it does pull itself completey away, its not going to happen in our lifetime or any lifetime soon. but i guess it just depens on how fast the pull is.

im confused what is a gravitational pull?!! i know it has to have something to do with gravity but that about all that i know

So it will leave eventually then? where would it go?
and why does it matter if it seperates from us anyways, would anything happen execpt that we just wouldnt have ecslipes or whatever.

since the moon came from earth theory is tho most widly believed theory than the moons orbit is getting farther and farther from the earth with each orbit becease since the moon came from an asteriod hitting earth the moon was a huge chunk of lava that got splashed out from the force of the asteriod hitting earth and slowly formed the moon as the larger peices of lavas gravity pulled smaller pieces it formed the moon but its orbit grows bigger each year because the force of the asterriod it is in a growing or bit kinda of like how the iss has to go turn its engines to fix its decaying orbit. so yes it is gowing farther from us. so eventually our rotation will grow unstable and our season will go out of wack and itll probably render our planet uninhabitable but the earth isnt losing its gravitational pull and it really couldnt unless another asteriod took a chunk of the earth away and we would lose some of the earths mass. so no its not

[glow=red,2,300]I think that the earth IS losing it's gravitational pull because of the distance thing, but it can't be because you can't lose mass unless something comes off of something else, like a fat guy losing weight. and last time i checked the earth wasn't losing weight. Or is it density that im thinking of??? [/glow]

I think that even if the earth is losing it's gravitational pull on the moon, it wouldn't pull away so soon and it would take a lifetime.

i think that earth is losing it gravitional pull becouse peolpe are saying that the moon is getting farther away
