Ok Does anybody have any ideas on why diet pop in a can will float but regular pop will sink?

It is because of the air particles in the can. The more air less liquid it will float is my opinion. Now if more liquid and less air it will sink

Yeah. It has to do with the air in the pop, and also the sugar, I think. We did this experiment at my church. >.<

No clue. But it was really interesting. I guess it helped me understand what we are talking about without knowing.

Regular pop particles are more bunched up together and diet pops particles are farther apart

actually it has to do with the sugar. regular pop has normal sugar in it which makes it heavier, and diet pop has artificial sweeteners which make it lighter.

It has to deal with suga and the caffine in it. Diet has less of both so it makes it lighter and less dense.
