volume is the amount of space an object takes up in 3D and mass is the matter of an object and density is how tightly packed the molecules are in an object

well i would say mass is like weighing the object but we re not suppose to mass is not weighing because your weight changes when you go to the moon but your mass always stays the same

Mass is the weight of something (right?), and the volume is? Im not suree. mass is the weight. Volume is how much space somethingtakes up

Yeah I agree, mass is the weight of something volume is how much space it takes up .

Volume is the same thing as area. When something has an area or a voulme it is the same thing. So when you use water displacement you can find out how much volume or area the object has.

Sorry Ernesto, but I'm going to pull a Mr. Kruse on you too. We don't check the WEIGHT, but the MASS. Technically, jeremy, we are checking the weight, but we call it the mass and we mass it.

"technically" we are finding the mass. Weight is the force of gravity of something, mass is the amount of stuff something is made out of. THis is different from volume as it is the amount of SPACE something takes up.
